Dan Moyer has been a hardcore
"I Dream of Jeannie" fan since the
tender age of 4. A few years later, he found his first Jim Beam bottle
on a family vacation in Virginia and proceeded to adapt his raw artistic abilities to the goal of
recreating the icon that epitomized his favorite television show.
He's achieved this in the form of a genie bottle that is a dead-on
match to the original bottle in Barbara Eden's own collection. The only exception being that Dan
chooses for the base/windows to reflect the pattern as it was viewed
from "inside" the bottle, giving the filigrees five
"jewels" instead of three. The
symmetrical details and mechanically smooth lines of his skill are met
with shock, and often questioned as to whether or not he uses some sort
of machine or paint pens. The answer is absolutely no. It's all done by
hand and with a brush.

In January of 1997, Dan's reputation for accuracy and brilliant
craftsmanship landed him a contract
to supply a New York production company with several bottles for an
AT&T commercial, which starred Barbara Eden as Jeannie. He was also
brought to production set to act as a creative consultant, referencing details
that would be authentic to the original series. It was one of the most exciting
three days of his entire career.
Aside from Jeannie bottles, and other Jeannie related reproductions he has ventured into reproducing other
props and artifacts from shows and movies such as "The Munsters",
"The
Flying Nun", and "The Wizard of Oz". In contrast to the
bright and magical world of Jeannie, Dan also has a macabre fascination with dark humor and
enjoys things like the Addams Family, Disney's Haunted Mansion, the
Nightmare Before Christmas, and anything related to the Halloween
Holiday. He often hosts magnificent parties at Halloween and spares no
expense, putting his talents to use, elaborately "haunting"
his own house, and sometimes even hiring improvisational actors to amuse
his guests with some spooky magic gimmick.
Dan welcomes
special projects Jeannie and Non-Jeannie alike so don't be afraid to ask
for things other than bottles. Like the name says your wish is his
command!
